Regional content blocked: fix UK, US, and DACH geoblocks

IPTV providers sometimes geoblock specific channel packs. Here is what to try when a channel you paid for shows "Not available in your region".

Geoblocks on IPTV happen for three reasons. Knowing which one you're hitting tells you what to try.

1. The broadcaster geoblocks at source

BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, and Sky all geo-check the IP address of the stream request. Even if your IPTV provider has the BBC stream in its M3U, the stream itself checks your IP against UK geography. Fix: connect through a UK-based VPN server.

2. The IPTV provider restricts by account region

Some providers sell separate "UK pack" and "US pack" subscriptions. If you subscribed to the US pack and try to access UK channels, they'll 403. Contact support to add the region pack, or switch provider.

3. ISP-level DNS block on the broadcaster CDN

If only one specific channel fails (say, "BBC One UHD") while other UK channels work, your ISP may be blocking the specific CDN hosting the stream. Change DNS to 1.1.1.1 and retry.
